The Kona Historical Society, a 501c3 non-profit museum and outreach organization, is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper for our Kealakekua headquarters. The position comes with medical and other benefits as well as the possibility for advancement in title and pay scale. Qualified applicants will have experience in the Bookkeeping/Accounting and 10 Key. All applicants with the right skills and background will be considered.

Duties Include: General Accounting, Reconcile cash bi-weekly, Prepare bank deposit bi-weekly, Enter payroll bi-weekly, Reconcile bank accounts monthly, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Non-Profit Fund Management, and Preparation of standard Financial Reports.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Minimum of two to three years of accounting work experience, 4-5 preferred. Proficiency in Quickbooks. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Organized, quick learner, and problem solver with good research skills. Knowledge of grant and fund accounting, and/or experience working in non-profit accounting or accounting management experience is highly desirable.
