A day in your life as a Money Processing Teller: 
Under the supervision of the MPC Supervisor/Manager, this position is responsible for processing incoming customer deposit bags and outgoing change orders received via Armored Car, Night Depository, ATMs, ensuring accuracy and providing quality service.  Must adhere to department standard safety requirements.  If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…
  • Receives/verifies/balances/prepares deposits/change orders received via armored car from customers and branches in accordance to established processing and security procedures.  
  • Balances a cash truck and adheres to cash handling guidelines.
  • Utilizes key service techniques and tools to provide high service standards to internal and external clients.  Actively participates in various breakthrough service performance activities to ensure maximum client satisfaction (objection and scriptwriting clinic, Big 5 process, rounds, etc).  Exercises sound judgement in handling internal and external client inquiries and servicing requests by using knowledge of Bank products and services and adhering to the general operating policies and procedures.  Participates in referrals and sales programs and promotions. 
  • Provides team support, assists department in meeting daily deadlines. May provide assistance in various areas within departments.

  • High school diploma or G. E. D. 

  • Exposure to general banking, cash handling, accounting exposure or equivalent work experience.

Technical Skills: 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems. 
  • Ability to independently operate required equipment after initial training period.

Other Job Qualifications: 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Analytical ability and math skills sufficient to balance cash trucks. 
  • Able to work independently with frequent interruptions.  
  • Must be able to lift/transport up to 50 pounds and be able to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and shift work. 
  • Steel Toe shoes and ear protection required.
