A day in your life as a The Private Bank Credit Support Officer:
Under the direction of The Private Bank (PB) Senior Lending Officer (SLO), The Private Bank Credit Support Officer (RCSO) identifies and evaluates credit risks associated with clients to enable a credit decision to be made, coordinates requests for credit assistance, performs analysis of credits, supports structuring of sound credit facilities and is responsible for monitoring of segments of the portfolio.  Assists in business units compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Well give you these important responsibilities
  • Performs financial analysis and cash-flow projections and written requests for credits in accordance with current Bank standards and guidelines and provides analysis to support pricing rationale.  
  • Supports RMs efforts to develop a more comprehensive understanding of clients financial condition/strategy and financing need in order to deal screen productively with other credit groups.  Prepares term sheets and approval letters in a timely manner.  Participates in staff meetings and on joint calls with RMs as appropriate.
  • Coordinates effectively with Relationship Managers (RMs), other credit groups and documentation and booking services to expedite credit requests. Processes loan packages efficiently including review for completeness and accuracy.  Communicates missing items, discrepancies and gaps in the process clearly with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely end-to-end performance.
  • Reinforces the credit culture of the Bank.  Works under the direction of The Private Bank staff, and other credit officers to structure sound credit facilities and promote excellence in evaluation and communication of credit risk in accordance with federal, state, Bank and divisions safety and soundness and compliance guidelines.
  • Reviews daily overdraft report and recommends or facilitates approval for the appropriate disposition of the overdraft. Prepares and distributes a weekly summary of follow-up resolutions needed to enhance management oversight.   
  • Conducts periodic monitoring of segments of the portfolio such as credit facilities collateralized by marketable securities and validates the data integrity of new loan bookings.  Manages the process for resolution and ensures timely distribution of the reports.

Education: 
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution with course work in business and/or economics or equivalent work experience.  
Experience:  
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial or private banking credit or equivalent work experience.   
  • Requires basic analytical skills, understanding of credit and cash flow analysis, and proficiency with credit software.  
  • Performs assigned job functions under close supervision of senior officers.

Technical Skills:  
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.

Other Job Qualifications: 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.  
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, with excellent attention to detail.  
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.  
  • Must possess working knowledge of accounting skills.  
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and client servicing skills to meet the Banks standards.   
  • Must always follow up and follow through.  
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings as needed or assigned. 
  • Must be able to provide own transportation or to operate a vehicle with a valid drivers license and commute as required. 
  • Able to travel by air as required.
