A day in your life as a Wholesale Lending Account Executive:
Under the direction of the Wholesale Lending Manager, responsible for generating quality loans from Third Party Originators (TPOs) and/or Mortgage Brokers  in accordance with the Banks desire to maximize the market share.

Well give you these important responsibilities
  • Services Bank of Hawaiis approved brokers with emphasis on Residential Lending Division goals.  Responds quickly with accurate information to Mortgage Brokers.  Provides extraordinary customer service to all approved Mortgage Brokers.  Solicits and signs-up new quality brokers.  Informs and instructs new brokers how to; 1) describe what types of loans Bank of Hawaii is looking for, 2) submit new loans, 3) follow-up on loan conditions, 4) instruct how to fill-out all forms required to close a loan, 5) who to coordinate closings with, 6) able to train new brokers on all automated approval systems and process, and 7) inform new brokers of contact people involved.  
  • Coordinates wholesale origination function with other Residential Lending and/or Bank of Hawaii personnel.  Ensures compliance with Banks qualifications and standards.  Suggest to the Wholesale Manager of how better to streamline the process.  Assist Wholesale Manager to correct and follow-up on loans that need clean up or clarification.  Gathers data for reports, memos and statistics.
  • Understands and communicates with Bank of Hawaii approved Brokers on FannieMae, FreddieMac, VA, Bank of Hawaii Portfolio Products, Bankoh Home Equityline and other investor loan programs.
  • Increases and monitors the number of quality approved brokers with Bank of Hawaii.  Solicits and signs-up new quality brokers.  Informs and instructs new brokers how to; 1) describe what types of loans Bank of Hawaii is looking for, 2) submit new loans, 3) follow-up on loan conditions, 4) instruct how to fill-out all forms required to close a loan, 5) who to coordinate closings with, 6) able to train new brokers on all automated approval systems and process, and 7) inform new brokers of contact people involved.  Also able to recognize and suggest termination of brokers that repetitively sends poor quality loans.
  • Proficiently inputs loans on Bank of Hawaiis computer origination system and are able to train and use investor automated systems like Desktop Originator, Loan Prospector and any other computer underwriting systems that may relate.
  • Participates and promotes Bank of Hawaii in Mortgage Broker and Mortgage Banker functions and committees to further support Hawaiis residential lending community.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT:  Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry.  If not yet registered, registration to be completed and accepted no later than 30 days from employment or transfer date.  If not registered and accepted, employment may be terminated.


Education:  
  • College degree or higher required.

Experience:  
  • Minimum three years mortgage banking experience (wholesale preferred).  
  • Knowledge of all types of mortgage loans (A paper through C Paper).  
  • Strong customer service and sales experience.

Technical Skills: 
  • Experience in use of a computer, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Mortgage Origination Software Systems.  
  • Skilled in typing proficiently and accurately.   
  • Ability to use calculator, fax, scanner and copy machine. 

Other Job Qualifications: 
  • Valid drivers license, flexible hours, and ability to lift 25 lbs.
